Did you use your own cup/mug or did you use a styrofoam/card cup and throw it away after you finished? Where did it come from, where is it going and how will it get there? Did you ask yourself that?

You wouldn’t have to if you used a washable mug.
According to the environmental protection agency over 25 BILLION styrofoam cups are thrown away a year*. It’s understandable using a styrofoam or cardboard cup if your out and about, but if you’re in the office or at school it’s easy enough to carry a mug to the machine.

At an event I went to, they served soup in a mug with a deposit and if you liked the mug you could keep it or get your 50p back. Wonderful idea. Much better than those horrible styrofoam cups and it encouraged the safe return of the mugs to the person washing up. Bexy
