How did you get to work last Monday?

Last Monday (yesterday) was World Car Free Day 2008.

A lot of people took part here at The Consortium. We had someone riding in on a horse and someone even came in a canoe — our office is next to a canal.

We got a mention on the local radio station 3TR FM, and were photographed by the Wiltshire Times newspaper.

One employee here even rode his bike from Swindon, which is over thirty miles away and took three hours to ride!

Well done to everyone who took part: those who took trains, walked, rode bikes and even those who car shared (despite still using a car it’s still a worthwhile effort).

Here are the three craziest Consortium commuters; Julia, Barney and Darren:

Well done to those three as they made an exceptional effort on Monday.

Do you know anyone who found an unusual way of getting in to work on World Car Free Day? If so please let us know using the comments form below.
