Myth: Turning fluorescent lights on and off uses more energy than leaving them on.
Fact: Turning a fluorescent light off and on uses 500 times less energy than leaving it on for 15 minutes.
Just turning off lights when leaving a room or corridor, or when you leave at the end of the day can reduce lighting costs by 15%.
Energy saving light bulbs use only a quarter of the energy of normal light bulbs and last up to eight times longer.
There are also energy saving light bulbs available that are specially designed to be on all night, or intermittently through the night — such as for use in security lights. They’re called ‘Dusk ’till Dawn’ lamps and have an average rated life of 12 years.

A really good idea for people who always use lights.You really should turn the lights off if not needed.Of course not to only waste money also to not waste the nature that is out there that every watts on lights will help
